setting Qt stylesheets

November 28, 2012 Leave a comment

For a single widget:

QFile file(":/qss/default.qss");
file.open(QFile::ReadOnly);
QString styleSheet = QLatin1String(file.readAll());
setStyleSheet(styleSheet);

For whole app:

QApplication app( argc, argv );

// Load an application style
QFile styleFile( ":/style.qss" );
styleFile.open( QFile::ReadOnly );

// Apply the loaded stylesheet
QString style( styleFile.readAll() );
app.setStyleSheet( style );

xilinx ise 12.4 + ubuntu 11.04 64bit + isim

October 28, 2011 Leave a comment

Xilinx ISE 12.4 on Ubuntu 11.04 64bit. When trying to run a testbench with ISIM, I got the following error:

FATAL_ERROR:Simulator:Fuse.cpp:209:1.124.4.5 – Failed to compile one of the generated C files.

Got the solution here.
Just delete the “libstdc++.so*” files in /opt/Xilinx/VERSION_NUMBER/ISE_DS/ISE/lib/lin64/.

ubuntu persistent environment variables

October 15, 2011 Leave a comment

As stated here, the recommended way to set (persistent) environment variables on Ubuntu is by editing the file “/etc/environment”.
To set temporary environment variables use the “export” command.
Example: “export PATH=$PATH:/new/path”

shared libraries on linux

  1. Go to “/etc/ld.so.conf.d/”
  2. Create a file with “.conf” extension (eg. “qwt.conf”)
  3. Open it with a text editor and add a line with the path of your library (eg. “/usr/local/qwt-6.0.0/lib”)

post number one

Ok this is the first post of this blog. I’ll be using “3xbla” mainly for personal reference.
“3xbla” should be pronounced as “three times bla”, or “bla bla bla”. Bla is “blah”.
